When have you decided to draw dragons?

I’ve been drawing dragons since middle school. I always loved dinosaurs, and dragons were a dino-upgrade in my mind. (flying, fire-breathing, treasure-hoarding, knight-slaying, talking dinos.) They were also easily shoved into my juvenile headworlds, which generally involved of monsters and magic aplenty.

This weekend I GMed my second Pathfinder scenario. I think I’m starting to find a rhythm.

I am discovering that I have the most fun when the group’s characters are talking to NPCs or each other, particularly when they have conflicting views on how to handle things. I also take particular glee in situations where they try to break the scenario with creative ideas that the writers never could have accounted for. Poor eidolon bear, being lowered down the suicide well… Poor gnome, being lowered down a crane into the drink. My group has a penchant for tying up creatures then lowering them into dangerous locations. O_O;

I’ve been asked how we’re doing the “animation” for Flight Rising’s baddies. These guys are not a true frame-by-frame animation.They’re generally made up of a single illustration that is cut, rotated, stretched, or squished.

These are the sprite sheets look like before they’re plugged into the coliseum engine. Once they’re in the engine the sheets tick off at a pre-established rate and the enemies gain further liveliness as they jump forward and pounce for attacks, rock back and flash when hit, or fade out into a cloud of swirling smoke as they are vanquished.

I drew portraits for my tabletop roleplay characters. They’re all 3/4 view busts for the purpose of pretty Hero-Lab character sheets. Also 3/4 is easy and I’m lazy >.>;

Talu the berserker, Pinkerton McOwen the combat mage, and Delim the cleric. Talu is my Pathfinder Society character, Pinkerton is my Shadowrun Missions character, and Delim is my Pathfinder/Forgotten Realms hybrid campaign character.

Sorry to bother you but I was looking at your artwork and I'm just a huge fan! Anyways my question is what exactly is vlp or whatever to mix up different creatures? I have been looking for a site or something similar to create new creatures, again sorry about this

YTC Summit licensed my Quetzalcoatl artwork to be turned into a figurine. I didn’t know about the blue color variant. The one I’m familiar with is rainbow. :-) If the blue version is produced by YTC, then all is well. Another line it might be listed under is “The Summit Collection”. If it’s produced by someone other than YTC this is a problem.

The second two have not been licensed for use as a figure. If you can photograph the offending piece I’ll look into it. I suspect you may have seen the phoenix rising figurine, also licensed by YTC Summit? It is based off this image, which is quite similar to the two you linked:

Again, thank you for looking out for me. In this case I’m think that what you’re seeing is legitimately licensed products. It’s very kind of you to report it. It’s unfortunate that it’s not all that uncommon for artists to have their work taken and used in products without permission or compensation. Having someone notify you that something fishy is up can be the first step to finding the problem and working to make it right! Much appreciated.
