http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/stormlightworkshop/flight-rising-0The time is finally here! The next stage of Flight Rising’s launch plans have now begun, and our Kickstarter Campaign is off and running! The fundraising campaign will be running until April 9th, 2013 11:00PM EST, so you have plenty of time to jump in and participate (and we hope you do!)Flight Rising’s Kickstarter campaign will be helping fund an upgrade to our hosting server, as well as support the current and ongoing development of the site’s content. We have tons of special goodies lined up for those who donate, so please check ‘em out! We appreciate any and all support you guys provide. Thank you!

Flight Rising is a browser-based game I’ve been working on for a couple of years with the talented Dana P, Darren H, and Brandon W. In Flight Rising you lead an elemental clan of dragons. You can raise, breed, battle, adventure, and watch your clan grow. We’ve launched a kickstarter so that we can raise the fund for a dedicated server. This will enable us to reach our grand opening sooner, with a server capable of supporting hundreds of concurrent online users.
Excite!

  9. I like how the fuzzball obstructs the text so that you can no longer read the fragrance or know what you’re buying. That was a real good decision.

  10. Today I was undertaking the task of syncing my desktop, lappy, external HD I had from 4 years go, and the external HD I use now, so that all the art files them are the same and redundant copies are deleted. This is something of a project because I often saved dual copies of the files while I was working on them. In some cases the newest, most complete version of the file was on my desktop, while in in others the lappy, and others the external HDs, so I can’t just copy things over blindly.

While i was backing things up, I found a few unfinished tidbits from 2008-2009 that I still kinda like.

  11. The green one’s name is Edgar, and he will breath out powerful gusts of wind. The black one is Spitfire, and he will breath out fire in his second set of animations.

Edit: Tumblr is doing a wierd thing where it cuts off part of the image. Click on the dragons to view them at the correct canvas size.

  12. Animation rough for flight loop for a side-scrolling html5 game.
I’m not sure what color to make this little guy. I think How to Train Your Dragon has led me to believe that black dragons are adorable, but white and green really appeal to me too. Thoughts?
